Nicklaus Design built Samanah for tournament play: generous off the tee, demanding into the greens.

• Serious golfersBuilt for tournament golf and it feels like it: shapely fairways, greens with real movement, and bunkers and water crowding the approaches. Your score is decided by the shots into the greens, not off the tee.
• Buddy tripsBig hitters can open their shoulders on the wide fairways, which makes for a good match, and the terrace sorts the bets out afterwards. The club requires a buggy or caddy for every round.
• Higher handicapsForgiving where you want it, off the tee, and punishing where it hurts, into the greens. Aim away from the water, accept the odd bunker, and the flat desert ground at least keeps the legs fresh.
