About Rosapenna Golf Course
The hands of golfing greats have shaped and moulded the links at Rosapenna. Old Tom Morris, then James Braid, followed by Harry Vardon and, in more recent years Eddie Hackett and Pat Ruddy have all had a hand in the 36 holes at Rosapenna. This is a spectacular and imaginative course and a real monster off the back. Play off the forwards, play with your eyes and not your ego and you’ll have a great day.
What you are actually facing
The walk. Flat, and an easy walk — 31 metres of climb over the round.
The wind. The wind is usually westerly, averaging 19 km/h, gusting to 79. It is the club selection that catches people out, not the yardage.
The water. 1 hazard in play. Bring a few more balls than you think you need.
The design. Old Tom Morris.
The holes that will cost you. The 18th, the 8th and the 16th. The 8th is the one you will be talking about afterwards.
Hole by hole — how we would play it
