About Pennard Golf Club
Pennard Golf Club is a links course with a difference, it's 200 feet above sea level.
Eight miles from Swansea, this magnificent course is known as The Links in the Sky. The holes are laid out over undulating and tumbling links land, with dunes large and small and carefully placed bunkers.
There are spectacular views over Three Cliffs Bay on the Gower Peninsula, designated the UK's first area of outstanding natural beauty.

Our take
They call Pennard the links in the sky, and the name is earned: tumbling James Braid duneland two hundred feet above Three Cliffs Bay, with a walk that means it.
Serious golfersBraid's routing over heaving duneland is the real thing: awkward stances, carefully placed bunkers, and a breeze that never quite leaves you alone up on the clifftop. Cards tend to come unstuck at the 4th and again at the 17th.
Higher handicapsBe honest about the walk before you book: over a hundred metres of climbing across the round, on ground that never sits flat. Wonderful fun if you accept a battered scorecard, punishing if you fight it.
Buddy tripsThe views over Three Cliffs Bay alone justify the detour, and the tumbling land throws up the sort of bounces a group laughs about for years. Trolleys and buggies are available for the sensible.
