• Higher handicapsAbout as kind as Scottish golf gets for a mid or high handicapper. Flat the whole way, buggies available, and the wind rarely gets up here the way it does out on the coast.
• Serious golfersTreat it as the recovery day. It has hosted Scottish championship golf, so it is no pushover, but the real value is swinging freely again after the links, with a spare nine if you fancy 27.
