Stay & play — fromAbout Golf du Soleil
Golf du Soleil is home to two 18 hole courses, both thriving in this oasis of palm trees and eucalytus. The Tikida course is the shorter of the two and it's a good opportunity to keep your woods in your bag and put your irons to work. The fairways are narrow and after playing in the pretty valley for the first nine you will also enjoy the longer and more open holes as you approach the clubhouse.
The sister Championship golf course is a different challenge. You will need to play long and put your thinking cap on when you reach the well-defended greens. There's a bit of water and some well placed trees and bunkers to foil your attempt to beat the course.

Our take
Two quite different courses share one flat estate of palms and eucalyptus on the edge of Agadir.
- Serious golfersThe Championship course is the sterner examination. Play the Tikida first, where the narrow valley holes make irons the sensible choice, then bring the driver out the following day.
- Higher handicapsThe Tikida is the friendlier start, short enough to leave the woods in the bag, flat all the way round and with no water to swallow a ball.
- Buddy tripsThirty-six holes on a single site means no transfers between rounds, which suits a group wanting two different courses without any logistics.

What you are actually facing
The wind. The wind is usually westerly, averaging 9 km/h, gusting to 30. It is the club selection that catches people out, not the yardage.
Terrain and prevailing-weather data, read hole by hole. It is our own assessment of how the course plays, not an official course or slope rating.
