About Formby Hall Golf Resort — Championship Course
ABOUT THE GOLF COURSE Designed by Dave Thomas and opened in 1996, Formby Hall's Championship Old Course is a par-72 parkland layout stretching over 7,000 yards on the Lancashire Golf Coast between Southport and Liverpool. Tree-lined fairways, strategic bunkering, and water hazards demand precision from tee to green, and the iconic 16th hole — where Tommy Fleetwood made his first hole-in-one — has become a signature moment for visiting golfers. Immaculate greens and gently undulating terrain provide a challenge for all handicap levels within a setting of mature woodland and open countryside. The resort also offers a 9-hole links-style par-3 Woodhey Dunes course and a PGA Academy.
