ABOUT THE GOLF COURSE

Biscarrosse Golf Club is on the Atlantic coast south-west of Bordeaux,  heading down towards Biarritz. It’s a nice holiday course threading through a predominantly pine forest.

The course measures about 6300 yards off the back and is a par 72 so, at first glance, it looks pretty tame.  However the first four holes are tight and it’s best to take an iron off the tee unless you’re fully warmed-up and ready.  After that, the fairways become more generous and there’s a clever use of doglegs.  There aren’t too many bunkers but the greens are fairly small.
