About Beaune Levernois Golf Club
Close to the beautiful town of Beaune, Golf de Beaune Levernois is the toughest golf course in the area with no fewer than six serious water hazards and a length of just over 7000 yards from the back. However, there’s enough space on the fairways and the real challenge comes with the approach shot. Once you’re on the greens, you’ll find they’re flat and true – just like the fairways. A good test of golf which goes towards making Burgundy a surprisingly strong region for golf holidays, even without thinking about the wonderful après-golf attractions and hotels.

Our take
Beaune Levernois is the toughest course in the area, a shade over 7,000 yards from the back with six serious water hazards.
- Serious golfersBuild the Burgundy trip around this round: generous from the tee, then everything decided by the approach shot. The greens run flat and true, so whatever you shoot is exactly what you earned.
- Higher handicapsPick your tees honestly, because the water here is serious and the course is long. The consolation is a completely flat walk and room on the fairways, so a steady player gets round with the card dented rather than ruined.
- Buddy tripsIf your group wants one proper examination on the trip, make it this one and play the rest for fun. It's the toughest test in the area, and Beaune is close for the debrief.
