About Arras Golf Club
Arras Golf Club has hosted the French Ladies Open and is a 27-hole set-up with a good clubhouse. Located just outside the historic town of Arras, in Northern France, the main 18-hole course is parkland with a little water. It requires length and intelligence and becomes increasingly challenging as the round continues. Buggies available. We work with a couple of nice hotels in the attractive town and there are plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. For a relaxing holiday with a couple of rounds of golf and taking in the World War One sites and monuments, Arras is ideal. 60 minutes from both Montreuil-sur-Mer and Calais. You can play Saint Omer Golf Club en route to the Eurotunnel.

Arras gets harder the longer you are out there, which is exactly how a French Ladies Open venue should behave.
- Serious golfersLength and intelligence, in that order, and neither on its own is enough. The 5th asks the early question and the 18th the last and hardest, with a breeze usually strong enough to change your club.
- Higher handicapsWater is everywhere once you start looking, twenty-six hazards spread across the 27 holes, and the closing stretch punishes a tiring swing. Buggies take the sting out of the moderate climbs.
- SocietiesTwenty-seven holes absorb a big group without a squeeze, the clubhouse is a good one, and Arras itself has hotels, bars and restaurants enough to carry the evenings.

The walk. Moderate. 122 metres of climb over the round.
The wind. The wind is usually westerly, averaging 14 km/h, gusting to 45. It is the club selection that catches people out, not the yardage.
The water. Water is very much in play across this course. Bring a few more balls than you think you need.
