Saint Jean de Monts, in south Brittany,  in now up to 68 in the Top 100 courses in France after a redesign by Martin Hawtree. The course boasts a brilliant Atlantic coast situation with stunning views. The layout features nine dramatic links holes and nine holes through a pine forest.

Up five places in the 2020 list of best French courses, the 6500-yard  Saint Jean de Monts course is a joy and a challenge to play. Make sure you arrive well before your tee-time as you’ll want to hit a few shots before you take on the first drive. You’ll see what we mean when you get there. The panoramic clubhouse offers fine seafood overlooking the ocean.

About an hour from La Baule and Les Sables d’Olonne, Saint Jean de Monts is well worth the drive. Saint Jean de Monts is now owned by the family who inspired such incredible work on Les Aisses Golf Club in the Loire.
