ABOUT THE GOLF COURSE

Hollinwell is a fine heathland course in 400 acres of free draining sandstone.  In a natural valley within Kirkby Forest, some fairways sweep through wooded hillsides and others weave through heather, fern and gorse. Willie Park Junior is responsible for the 1901 design, which was long for the era at just under 6,000 yards. It now measures 7,250 yards from the Championship tees with a SSS of 76.  Ideal to play on the way north or south on a golf break.
