Belek rewards good timing more than almost anywhere we send golfers. The courses run along a pine-covered strip of Turkey’s Mediterranean coast beneath the Taurus Mountains, and the same fairways that bake at 35 degrees in August are green, quiet and entirely playable on a clear January morning. Get the month right and the whole trip clicks.
We have been booking this coast for years and the shape of the Belek year is fairly predictable once you know it. Here is how each season really plays, with the weather, the state of the turf and the quiet windows, so you can pick your moment; once your dates are fixed, we shape the rest of the trip to fit them.
Spring (March to May): the connoisseur's season
Ask our regulars and most will name spring. From late March the days climb into the high teens and low twenties, the umbrella pines give off that resin smell in the warm air, and the courses come out of winter in fine order, with fresh bentgrass greens and fairways still holding their colour. Gloria Golf Resort, from a £1,125 (≈ €1,315) (≈ $1,515) (≈ CA$2,105) (≈ AU$2,145) (≈ NZ$2,585) (≈ CHF 1,235) (≈ kr 14,325) (≈ kr 14,505) (≈ kr 9,825) pp start, puts you beside its Old and New courses at exactly the time of year they look their best, and Regnum Carya is in similar condition along the road.
It is a golfing season rather than a beach one. The sea is still cool in April, and that is the trade: comfortable weather for walking eighteen holes, and tee sheets that stay civilised outside Easter week. Pricing sits at its most generous too. For a first Belek trip, £425 (≈ €495) (≈ $575) (≈ CA$795) (≈ AU$805) (≈ NZ$975) (≈ CHF 465) (≈ kr 5,405) (≈ kr 5,475) (≈ kr 3,715) pp is the entry point at Cornelia De Luxe Resort, and that is where we would start you.
Summer (June to September): early starts and resort indulgence
July and August are hot. Properly hot, often into the mid-thirties by late morning, and no amount of resort polish changes that, so be realistic before you book the school holidays. The answer is the dawn tee time: out first thing at Titanic Deluxe Golf Resort (prices begin at £935 (≈ €1,085) (≈ $1,265) (≈ CA$1,755) (≈ AU$1,775) (≈ NZ$2,145) (≈ CHF 1,025) (≈ kr 11,905) (≈ kr 12,055) (≈ kr 8,165) pp), then the middle of the day handed over to the pool and the spa. June and September flank the peak with far kinder golfing weather, and given the choice we would steer most golfers to those two months instead.
Summer is when the big all-inclusive houses earn their keep. Sueno Hotel Deluxe, from £715 (≈ €835) (≈ $965) (≈ CA$1,335) (≈ AU$1,355) (≈ NZ$1,645) (≈ CHF 785) (≈ kr 9,105) (≈ kr 9,215) (≈ kr 6,245) pp, runs at full tilt through the holidays, which makes it the obvious call if the family is coming along with the clubs. Voyage Belek Golf and Spa and Maxx Royal sit in the same bracket.
Autumn (October to November): the all-rounder's reward
If we had one week in Belek and a free choice of dates, we would take the second half of October over anything else in the calendar. The heat eases back to the mid-twenties, the sea stays warm enough to swim well into the month, and the courses are still groomed to peak-season standard without peak-season pressure on the tee sheet. Sueno Golf Hotel, with the Dunes and Pines courses on site and a starting price of £625 (≈ €725) (≈ $845) (≈ CA$1,165) (≈ AU$1,185) (≈ NZ$1,435) (≈ CHF 685) (≈ kr 7,955) (≈ kr 8,055) (≈ kr 5,455) pp, is our pick for a pure golf week at this time of year. Sirene Belek Hotel, from £675 (≈ €785) (≈ $905) (≈ CA$1,265) (≈ AU$1,285) (≈ NZ$1,545) (≈ CHF 735) (≈ kr 8,595) (≈ kr 8,705) (≈ kr 5,895) pp, suits couples who want the beach as well as the golf.
Crowds thin once the summer families head home and rates ease back towards spring levels. November can still deliver. Expect the odd front to come through from the middle of the month, though, and pack for a shower or two.
Winter (December to February): the warm-weather escape
Belek does not close. While most of northern Europe is playing off mats, winter days here typically reach the mid-teens and the courses stay green and open. A crisp December morning at Gloria Verde, from £835 (≈ €975) (≈ $1,125) (≈ CA$1,565) (≈ AU$1,585) (≈ NZ$1,915) (≈ CHF 915) (≈ kr 10,635) (≈ kr 10,765) (≈ kr 7,295) pp, followed by a full day’s golf is a realistic plan rather than a hopeful one. If you want more polish around the quiet months, Cornelia Diamond keeps its restaurants and spa running at full strength right through winter, with prices starting at £1,115 (≈ €1,295) (≈ $1,505) (≈ CA$2,095) (≈ AU$2,125) (≈ NZ$2,565) (≈ CHF 1,225) (≈ kr 14,195) (≈ kr 14,375) (≈ kr 9,745) pp.
Be honest about the trade-offs. Mornings are cool, daylight is short, and January can bring two or three wet days in a row, so a seven-night trip is a safer bet than a long weekend. What you get in return is space: empty fairways, unhurried starters and resorts in their calmest mood. For societies and groups chasing warm winter golf without long-haul flying times, this window is worth knowing about.
The most accessible value falls in winter and the early spring and late autumn shoulders — roughly December to March and again in November. Hand-built golf in Belek begins from around £549 (≈ €635) (≈ $735) (≈ CA$1,025) (≈ AU$1,045) (≈ NZ$1,255) (≈ CHF 595) (≈ kr 6,985) (≈ kr 7,075) (≈ kr 4,795) per person, and these quieter windows let that go furthest while the courses remain in fine condition. Our specialists will pinpoint the exact dates that pair the best rates with the weather you want.
How many golf courses are there in Belek?
Belek is one of Europe’s most concentrated golf destinations, with a cluster of championship courses set within five-star resorts along a single stretch of coast — among them Maxx Royal Belek, Regnum Carya, Titanic Deluxe, Gloria, Cornelia Diamond and Sueno. Their proximity means a week here can take in several distinct courses without ever moving hotel.
Is my golf trip to Turkey financially protected?
Yes. Golf Planet Holidays has arranged hand-built golf since 1981, and your trip is fully protected: we are ATOL Protected, and your money is held securely in trust with PTS until the day you travel. You can book your Belek golf holiday with complete peace of mind.
What should I pack for golf in Turkey across the seasons?
For spring and autumn, lightweight layers and a light waterproof cover most eventualities. Summer calls for sun protection, breathable fabrics and plenty of hydration for the heat. In winter, bring a warm mid-layer for cool mornings and a light shell for the odd shower — by midday you will often be playing in shirtsleeves. Your specialist can advise precisely for your chosen dates.
