Gullane No.1 Course
The eighteen holes of Gullane No.1 Course were established in 1884. The well maintained greens, links grasses, numerous bunkers and sea breezes make a unique challenge for the serious golfer. The world famous view from the highest point of the Course on the 7th tee across the course and over to Edinburgh, Fife and way beyond is worth the green fee alone. With every hole having its own distinct character, this course is both memorable and enjoyable.
Gullane No.2 Course
Gullane No. 3 Course
Opened in 1910 Gullane No.3 is designed by Willie Park 1 who also created Gullane No. 2. It is the shortest course but a great test of your shot-making skills.

Our take
Gullane No.1 has tested golfers since 1884, and the walk up Gullane Hill is only half the examination.
- Serious golfersWillie Park's greens, the links grasses and the sea breeze make this the sternest round on the hill. Save something for the 15th and 16th, which arrive late in the round and take more cards than any other stretch.
- Higher handicapsBe honest about the walk; there is nearly 180 metres of climbing over the round, so take a buggy if legs are any concern, and treat the breeze as an extra club on the exposed holes.
- Buddy tripsThe view from the 7th tee across to Edinburgh, Fife and beyond is the photograph everyone takes home, and the rest of the East Lothian coast gives you a full week of links within a short drive.
