France is now open for golf holidays again and our clients were among the first to head off in their cars through the Eurotunnel, golf clubs at the ready.
By all accounts travelling on the Eurotunnel is hassle-free. There is an additional bit of form filling but that is easy to do before you arrive at the terminal so you are not held up.
The golf courses are as welcoming as ever and in great condition after the enforced rest. One client has just returned from Golf Des Aisses in the Loire, which he reports is as excellent as ever.
Buggies can be shared. France is taking a slightly different attitude to England, there are rakes and flags on the courses and you are encouraged to take your own hand sanitiser. Some courses have hand sanitiser stations around the course.
Masks should be worn when you go into the clubhouse, but of course, can be removed at the bar or at your table for your post-round debrief. Changing rooms are shut but toilets open.
Hotels are open for business and you can stay in twin rooms. In the public spaces around the hotels, you are encouraged to wear a mask, except at the table in restaurants. You may be asked to give a time for breakfast in the morning so spacing can be maintained and service runs smoothly.
The mask wearing rule in France is changing this week in line with the updated rules here, so if you are stopping at a supermarket on the way home, do take one with you after you get out of the car.
It may be a golf holiday with a difference, but it’s still as enjoyable as ever.
Staying in the Chateau les Muids for 3 nights’ b/b with 2 rounds of golf at Les Aisses and 1 at Limere Orleans and Eurotunnel travel based on 2 to-a-car costs from £675 per person.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a golf holiday in England cost?
Tailor-made golf breaks in England start from £175 per person, including your hotel, green fees and airport transfers. Every package is built around your group, dates and handicaps.
Do you arrange flights to England?
Flights can be added as an ATOL-protected option, or you book your own and we handle everything on the ground — private transfers, tee times and buggies.
Is my money protected?
Yes. Every booking is financially protected through Protected Trust Services (PTS) — your money is held safely in trust until you have travelled. Flight-inclusive trips are also ATOL protected.
Can I tailor the trip?
Always. We don’t sell off-the-shelf packages — every England break is built personally around your group, your preferred courses and your dates.
